Safety Features Subaru vehicles have always been considered safe because they were among the first passenger cars to employ 4-wheel and All-wheel drive transmissions. The added control in slippery and treacherous conditions made for a comfortable ride and far fewer accidents. But as we all know... accidents DO happen, so Subaru focused on designing added safety features which will ensure you and your family's well-being. We are proud to have one of the highest crash-test ratings ever for our class. - Dual-stage deployment driver and front-passenger front air bags (SRS)*
- Intelligent air bag system with driver's seat position sensor and front-passenger seat occupant-detection sensor (SRS)*
- Side-curtain air bags protecting front and outboard 2nd-row occupants (SRS)*
- Seat-mounted front side-impact air bags (SRS)*

* The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) (air bags) affords the driver and front passenger additional protection in moderate to severe frontal and side-impact collisions, and outboard 2nd-row passengers additional protection in moderate to severe side-impact collisions. This system provides supplemental protection only, and seatbelts must be worn in order to avoid injuries to out-of-position occupants upon bag deployment and to provide the best combined protection in a serious accident. Children should always be properly restrained in the rear seat. |
